On Tuesday, May 26, at 9:00 a.m., the second Pacific Thrift Store held its soft opening at 7424 Greenback Ln, Citrus Heights, CA 95610. The opening began with a prayer of dedication and blessing. Special guests from other church associations, honored guests, and partners of the Mission Department of the Association attended the event.
Before the prayer, the store’s Chief Manager Pavel Tsvirinko gave a short tour of the facility. Guests visited the clothing and shoe departments, furniture section, housewares and décor areas, as well as the sorting department and the packaging/preparation area where unsold items are prepared for shipment to other countries. Afterward, the first customers were welcomed into the store. Symbolically, the very first customer was Alexander Pronin, president of the Association.
Those present congratulated the administration and staff on the new store wishing them successful business development and fruitful ministry. We would like to remind everyone that Pacific Thrift Store is a Christian store, and its primary purpose is to support the missionary ministry of the Association. We invite everyone to become part of this mission. You can help in three ways:
- come as a customer;
- donate unwanted items in good condition;
- volunteer and assist with sorting donations.
A Grand Opening is planned in several weeks, once all operational processes have been fully established. At the moment, the store is offering a 20% discount for new customers — stop by and visit.
“We need some time to fine-tune our processes: test the registers, identify what is still missing, add visual banners explaining the store’s mission — and then we will be ready for the grand opening,” said Vasily Stupin.
If you have ideas or suggestions for development and partnership, please contact the Pacific Thrift Store board of directors or the store’s general manager, Pavel Tsvirinko, directly at (916) 719-5071.
