On April 18th, a warm and blessed picnic took place in Yuba City — a gathering of two churches united for ministry. By God’s grace and with the support of brothers and sisters, the event was held in a festive, spring atmosphere. The weather was favorable, and those who attended felt the presence of the Lord.
The event was open to all who wished to come and was announced in advance on social media. The program featured a sermon, songs, live music, and prayers in two languages — English and Russian. There was also an exhibition of paintings on biblical themes. For children, a bounce house was organized, and they enjoyed cotton candy. The message of the risen Jesus Christ reached the residents of nearby apartments, firefighters, and library visitors; passersby stopped to see what was happening in the cozy courtyard of the church. Pastor Bob Comфrs from Copper Avenue Baptist Church reminded everyone of the Great Commission and the sacrificial service of every believer to the people and to the Lord.
The main goal of the gathering — to thank the local American church for the opportunity to hold the service on its campus — was achieved. The Lord was glorified! Praise God!
