On March 7, 2026, a special evening for married couples titled “Family Harmony” was held at the First Slavic Evangelical Baptist Church of Sacramento of Sacramento. This warm and cozy event was organized by the “Family Harmony” ministry, which for the past 15 years has been dedicated to supporting and strengthening families.
The evening featured a unique Jewish-themed setting. Guests were delighted by invited musicians Timofey and Yakov Mudrenko from the “House of Praise” Church, as well as a diverse program that included contests, Bible quizzes, and fun themed videos. All of this created a light, friendly atmosphere and helped participants grow closer to one another.
The central theme of the meeting and seminar was the phrase: “Everything begins with love,” based on 1 Corinthians 13:4–7.
The speaker for the evening was Sergey Pronin, director of the “Blagovest” Institute and head of the education department of the association. In his message, he thoroughly explained the biblical view of the nature of men and women and highlighted areas that require attention in marriage in order to meet each other’s needs. Special emphasis was placed on the characteristics of true love—patience, kindness, self-sacrifice, and faithfulness.
The evening lasted about four hours and took place in an atmosphere of comfort, joy, and meaningful fellowship. Guests had the opportunity not only to listen to edifying teaching, but also to interact, meet new people, take memorable photos, and participate in Scripture-based contests.
A special blessing of the evening was the refreshments—various dishes and desserts lovingly prepared by the sisters of the church and the entire ministry team.
As one of the event organizers, Bogdan Polishchuchenko, noted:
“Such gatherings help families not only to relax but also to be spiritually strengthened, reminding us that everything truly begins with love.”
The smiles on the guests’ faces spoke for themselves—it was a time filled with care for one another, gratitude, and renewed relationships. The organizers succeeded in creating a truly meaningful and heartfelt event filled with warmth, joy, and sincere emotions.
Such evenings have already become a good annual tradition of the church, reminding everyone of the importance of family values and biblical principles. We thank everyone who took part in this event!
