On Sunday, November 23, in our Cornerstone Faith Church, eight people took the most important step of their lives — they trusted Jesus, accepted Him into their hearts, and entered into a covenant through baptism.
“I’m tired of believing in secret. I want a real life with God and His family.” One of those being baptized, Maksim, said this phrase, and it deeply touched all of us. And in these words, there is more than just emotion.
There is honesty, there is courage, and it is exactly what many people are living through, even if they never say it out loud.
Very often we hear similar stories:
• someone knows about God, seems to believe quietly, deep inside…
• sometimes prays, senses that “something in life isn’t right” …
• but remains alone — without a church, without support, without steps forward.
And then a moment comes when a person decides they are ready to surrender — to surrender into the hands of the Creator, to acknowledge the need for God, and to no longer hide their faith but to move toward the light, toward God’s family, toward God.
These are the very decisions we witnessed this Sunday. People stepped out of the shadows into life, into the light, into Christ. And we were overjoyed to witness another eight people being baptized and beginning their new journey. A journey where one can entrust their life to God, be genuine, and be with a family where there are support and love.
Why has Christianity remained alive and powerful for two thousand years?
Because it is not just a philosophy, not a set of ideas or principles. It is the truth revealed to us by Jesus Christ.
A truth that touches the heart.
A truth that changes lives.
A truth to which people continue to come even today, in these challenging times.
We are incredibly happy to be near each person who takes this step of faith. We are glad to see how God continues to work tirelessly — saving, healing, and transforming destinies. And may this day become for them the beginning of a new path of light, hope, and true life in Christ.
If you are seeking answers, want to know God more closely, understand Scripture, find support, family, and a spiritual home, we would be glad to see you at our gatherings every Sunday at 10 a.m.
